The Brewers are ecstatic with the early play of rookie Ryan Braun at the hot corner. He is batting 3rd in the lineup, right in front of Prince Fielder and that’s getting him a lot of good pitches and he’s doing something with them. In 16 games this season, Braun is 20 for 63 (.317 avg, .940 OPS) with 14 runs scored, 4 homers, 10 RBIs and 3 stolen bases. Look for Braun to continue with his hot bat, hopefully he plays at least average defense at 3B for them.

The Brewers finished their first week of the season at 3-3. They are tied with the Cubs for third place, 1 game behind the Pirates and Reds. The Brewers outscored their opponents 30-28, and that really shows how mediocre the Brewers played in the 1st week.
