The Brewers signed 29-year old righty swinging RF Corey Hart to a 3-year, $26.5 million dollar deal last winter. He missed a lot of time early in the year but he’s making up for lost time as he is red hot with the bat since August 1st. Since August 1st, Hart is 47 for 156 (.301 avg) with 31 runs scored, 10 homers, 21 RBIs and 3 stolen bases. Hart has now played in 119 games overall this year and he is 126 of 447 (.282 avg, .859 OPS) with 71 runs scored, 24 homers, 55 RBIs and 6 stolen bases. The Brewers need him to keep up the good work going forward.

27-year old righty swinging LF Ryan Braun has been awesome this year, as usual. Braun has played in 136 games for the Brewers so far this year and he is 169 for 511 (.331 avg, .977 OPS) with 97 runs scored, 27 homers, 96 RBIs and 31 stolen bases. Braun needs three homers to be a 30/30 man, and I think he’s going to get it. Braun has now played in 715 games in his first five years with the Brewers and he is 880 for 2,827 (.311 avg, .929 OPS) with 484 runs scored, 155 homers, 516 RBIs and 94 stolen bases. Braun is the new face of the franchise, especially if Prince Fielder bolts after this year.

27-year old lefty swinging 1B Prince Fielder has really been solid this year for the Brewers, in his possible free agent walk year. Fielder has played in 136 games for the Brewers so far this year and he is 140 for 477 (.294 avg, .951 OPS) with 81 runs scored, 29 homers and 102 RBIs. He has walked 88 times while whiffing 85 times, as he has shown a good eye at the plate to go along with his big time power. Fielder has now played in 972 games in his first 7 years with the Brewers and he is 966 for 3,435 (.281 avg, .924 OPS) with 557 runs scored, 221 homers, 638 RBIs and 15 stolen bases.   MLB betting lines looking good for the Brewers

31-year old lefty swinging Nyjer Morgan has really played well for the Brewers so far this year. He has played in 84 games for the Brewers so far this year and he is 83 for 266 (.312 avg, .787 OPS) with 39 runs scored, 3 homers, 28 RBIs and 6 stolen bases. Morgan has really stepped up in CF after Carlos Gomez went down to injury. But, I have to wonder what happened to Morgan’s speed. He has only stolen 6 bases so far this year after stealing 76 combined bases the previous two years (2009 and 2010). I know I’m nitpicking with Morgan, as he is having a great year for the Brewers, who probably wouldn’t be where they are in the standings right now without him.

25-year old righty swinging catcher Jonathan Lucroy is having a breakout season for the Brewers in 2011. He has played in 91 games for the Brewers so far this year and he is 84 for 296 (.284 avg, .724 OPS) with 31 runs scored, 7 homers and 46 RBIs. Lucroy has now played in 166 games in his first two years with the Brewers and he is 154 for 573 (.269 avg, .677 OPS) with 55 runs scored, 11 homers, 72 RBIs and 4 stolen bases. He has solidified himself as the Brewers’ catcher of both now and the future. The Brewers hope he keeps up the good work both behind the plate and with a bat in his hands the rest of the season.
