Righty swinging LF Ryan Braun and lefty swinging 1B Prince Fielder are swinging hot bats in the playoffs for the Brewers so far. Braun has played in 8 games in the playoffs so far and he is 14 for 29 (.483 avg, 1.455 OPS) with 7 runs scored, 6 doubles, 2 homers, 8 RBIs and 1 stolen base. Prince Fielder has played in 8 games for the Brewers so far in the playoffs and he is 8 for 27 (.296 avg, 1.182 OPS) with 5 runs scored, 3 doubles, 3 homers and 6 RBIs. Opposing teams have really had a hard time getting around Braun and Fielder in the lineup as they are batting third and fourth. If the Brewers are going to make a comeback in this series, they are going to need Braun and Fielder to continue raking.

The Milwaukee Brewers have a trio of guys who are really ripping the ball in the playoffs

LF Ryan Braun, 1B Prince Fielder and 3B Jerry Hairston are leading the way with the bats for the Brewers so far in this series. Braun has played in 3 games for the Brewers so far in this series and he is 6 for 11 (.545 avg, 1.583 OPS) with 4 runs scored, 2 doubles, 1 homer and 3 RBIs. Prince Fielder has also played in all 3 games for the Brewers and he is 4 for 11 (.364 avg, 1.144 OPS) with 2 runs scored, 1 double, 1 homer and 3 RBIs. The Brewers expected Braun and Fielder to hit well in this series, but Jerry Hairston has been a little bit of a surprise. Manager Ron Roenicke decided to start Hairston over Casey McGehee at 3B in this series and he has responded. Hairston has played in all 3 games for the Brewers so far in this series and he is 4 for 9 (.444 avg, 1.010 OPS) with 1 run scored, 1 double and 1 RBI. The Brewers hope that this trio keeps ripping the ball going forward.

35-year old righty swinging IF/OF Jerry Hairston has played in 43 games for the Brewers since coming over in a deal with the Nationals and he is 32 for 117 (.274 avg, .731 OPS) with 18 runs scored, 1 homer, 6 RBIs and 1 stolen base. He has now played in 118 games overall this year with the Brewers & Nationals and he is 89 for 330 (.270 avg, .728 OPS) with 43 runs scored, 5 homers, 30 RBIs and 3 stolen bases. Hairston’s versatility has been a huge asset for the Brewers and they are hoping that he helps them in the playoffs.

Corey Hart is hot right now for the Milwaukee Brewers

The Brewers signed 29-year old righty swinging RF Corey Hart to a 3-year, $26.5 million dollar deal last winter. He missed a lot of time early in the year but he’s making up for lost time as he is red hot with the bat since August 1st. Since August 1st, Hart is 47 for 156 (.301 avg) with 31 runs scored, 10 homers, 21 RBIs and 3 stolen bases. Hart has now played in 119 games overall this year and he is 126 of 447 (.282 avg, .859 OPS) with 71 runs scored, 24 homers, 55 RBIs and 6 stolen bases. The Brewers need him to keep up the good work going forward.

The Hebrew Hammer is having another HUGE year for the Milwaukee Brewers

27-year old righty swinging LF Ryan Braun has been awesome this year, as usual. Braun has played in 136 games for the Brewers so far this year and he is 169 for 511 (.331 avg, .977 OPS) with 97 runs scored, 27 homers, 96 RBIs and 31 stolen bases. Braun needs three homers to be a 30/30 man, and I think he’s going to get it. Braun has now played in 715 games in his first five years with the Brewers and he is 880 for 2,827 (.311 avg, .929 OPS) with 484 runs scored, 155 homers, 516 RBIs and 94 stolen bases. Braun is the new face of the franchise, especially if Prince Fielder bolts after this year.
