This is a bad break for Perez as he was in line to get his first real shot to stick in the majors with the Brewers. He has pitched in 32 games (0 starts) in his first three years in the majors and he is 1-1 with a 4.79 ERA and a 1.65 WHIP.

The Brewers have lost starting RF Corey Hart for the next 3-4 weeks due to surgery on his right knee. Hart played in 130 games for the Brewers last year and he was 140 of 492 (.285 avg, .866 OPS) with 80 runs scored, 26 homers, 63 RBIs and 7 stolen bases. The Brewers will likely place Hart on the 15-day disabled list to start the 2012 season. This is just another blow to the Brewers as they needed Hart’s bat to help replace the lose of Prince Fielder.
