Jonathan Lucroy is off a fast start this year for the Milwaukee Brewers
24-year old righty swinging catcher Jonathan Lucroy was solid for the Brewers as a rookie last year. He played in 75 games for the Brewers last year and he was 70 for 277 (.253 avg, .629 OPS) with 24 runs scored, 4 homers, 26 RBIs and 4 stolen bases. Lucroy went into spring training as the Brewers’ starting catcher but he was injured and missed the start of the year. Since he has returned to action, his bat has been on fire. Lucroy has played in 34 games for the Brewers so far this year and he is 39 for 117 (.333 avg, .891 OPS) with 15 runs scored, 5 homers and 24 RBIs. The Brewers hope that Lucroy keeps up the good work.
