The Brewers were hopeful that Turnbow would go down to AAA and pitch well so that they could trade him at the deadline but he was awful and now he will miss the rest of the season due to a slight tear in his right rotator cuff. Turnbow pitched in 18 games (6 starts) in AAA ball after his demotion earlier this season and he was 2-2 with a 10.50 ERA and a 3.22 WHIP. He walked 41 batters and uncorked 10 wild pitches in only 18 minor league innings. Turnbow was also awful for the Brewers this season working in 8 games (0 starts) in which he was 0-1 with a 15.63 ERA and a 3.95 WHIP. Turnbow pitched in parts of four seasons for the Brewers and not all of his time hear was bad. Turnbow pitched in 218 games (0 starts) in his career with the Brewers and he was 15-16 with 65 saves, a 4.64 ERA and a 1.43 WHIP. He has likely made his final pitch for the Milwaukee Brewers.
